Temple Dedication

I have been waiting to write this post until I could get the pictures from our weekend but they are fleoting around somewhere in our new hard drive and I have no idea how to get them.
So I will proceed without them, you can imagine as you wish the scenery of the event, I would prefer that you would imagine me considerably hot, but if this becomes to difficult than do as you wish.
Last Weekend we got the incredible opportunity to be in the Twin Falls temple during the dedication. This is also where I had a wonderful embarrassing moment that I will share later in a post that I plan on calling "My embarrassing moment post" a highly creative title I might add. But any who back to the Incredible day, we were able to first watch the cornerstone ceremony from a screen in temple. President Monsen is seriously funny, it was a very sacred event but he still made us laugh a lot. After that he went up in to the temple where he proceeded to dedicate the building. It was such a neat experience I do not think that I have ever been able to be so close to a prophet, President Eyreing was there also. I wanted so bad to shake his hand, as I am sure everyone there wanted to also. Unfortunately he was swept out of the temple as soon as it was done. I am so grateful that we got to go.
Later that day Sam was able to go with my mom and dad, to there Stakes session for the dedication. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Moyes for watching our kids so that we could go in with Shauna and Richard, and thank you for taking Sam later, even though she said that it was boring I know that she will someday look back at the experience and be happy that she went.
Oh and I almost forgot, this is mainly for my family as they will get the biggest laugh. Mom just happened to be up as we were getting ready to go to the temple, I walked out of the bathroom after getting dressed thinking that all was good until I caught the look in moms eye,
mom-You are wearing that?
me-yea, why?
mom-well where are your nice dresses?
me-this is my nice dress
A look of horror crossed her eyes
mom-why don't we find necklace that will go with it
me-well OK
the next thing I know she is throwing different skirts at me belts necklaces, and yes my mother is my size and definitely better with fashion than me. I have to giver her credit though she stayed with browns and blacks knowing this is my comfort zone. She even pretended that she just wanted to show me her new makeup but then ruthlessly attacked me with different makeup brushes. I wanted to take a picture to show Andrea and Amanda because I knew that they would get a kick out of it but I forgot. So once again imagine, but this time I was oh so HOT. Thanks mom:)

First day of Kindergarten

My little Lexi is now a kindergartner, is that even a real word? Nonetheless (is that a real word also) she is in school now. Steven said that I should be happy that I only have one child at home but I can not help but miss them, and have you been around my son.
Lexi was really excited and the whole way to the school she kept getting annoyed because we were to slow. Right after the bell rang though her little eyes started to get worried. She made it through all right and is excited to go again.
Funny story , I hope you do not mind me sharing Sarah.... as all the parents were sitting watching there kids in the playground and saying goodbyes, out of the corner of my eye I see Sarah pull up to the turnabout, we laughed pretty hard when Brock jumped out of the car and Sarah pulled away as if this was just routine but the rest of us sat mourning the loss of our children to the school system(OK maybe that was only me). It was even funnier when a few minutes later Sarah came walking into the playground because she saw us all there and felt guilty.
I am only jealous Sarah because I can not be as strong as you.

Starting to get worried.

sniff, sniff.

update-after publishing this post I looked up kindergartner and it is in fact not a real word

Mowing the lawn with Daddy and back to school

This is how Steve and Josh mow the lawn.
Sam started school again on Monday, she was pretty nervous as am I. I did pretty good though this year except for right before I took her to her classroom she started sobbing and then I lost it also. And yes I am one of those parents that are sad to see there kids go. I really love having her home, I wouldn't mind a little break here and there but I really like to have them home.

Still catching up.

We had some big Birthdays this summer that I sorta blogged about, I decided to FINALLY get the pictures on now.
Sam turned 8 and wanted a surprise Birthday party so bad. I knew that there was going to be no way that I was going to be able to get that to happen with all the craziness going on that month so I told her that it was not going to be possible this year. Her solution........she stopped looking at the calendar and forbade me to tell her what day it was so that no matter what on the big day she was going to be surprised. Thinking that I was pretty neat I decided to throw her a little one before we went to Idaho. Problem was she saw the cake and we did not have any friends it was just Lexi and I jumping out and yelling SURPRISE. Either way I think that she had fun. Take note of all the pics of Josh trying to slowly work his way to the cake. As you will see by the last few Pictures when we were not looking he accomplished that.
Later when we went to Idaho Grandma Moyes threw a nice little party complete with a pinata, cousins and grandma and grandpa Dalley.

Josh also enjoying some yummy cake in his Birthday.

Back again.

We are back again.
This time we went to Murtaugh for my little sisters baby blessing. We had a fun day at the lake on Saturday but my camera batteries were dead so I did not get any pictures. Sunday was the blessing and a massive family gathering. After all of that we went with the Dalley family to Bear Lake
Andrea and little Brooklyn. I loved the picture below of Ann, she was surrounded by all these people taking pictures of little Brooklyn, so I told her she looked like a celebrity and she posed accordingly.

My other sister Amanda and her happy little guy Ryder. Seriously always smiles.
Bear Lake pictures. It looks like Lexi is posing here but she really was just moving her hair from her face, at least that is what she led me to believe.
I love these next pictures of Josh running in the water. I had set him down and he took off as fast as he could to the water. You can tell that he at least glances back at me as I tell him to wait.

A warm and fuzzy picture. Steve had just brought the boat in and was walking to the beach when Josh, his faithful follower, heard him talking to someone, Josh stood up and ran to him.

Cousin Dakota.
Josh was devastated when daddy had to go put the boat away, I tried to comfort him but he wanted nothing to do with me and thought that Sam would work out just nicely.
I know, I know that majority of these pictures are of Josh but my girls were always on the jetskii or boat with daddy.

OOOHHHHH I want to squish him.
Josh playing a game of peek-a-boo with me.

Sam decided to try and water ski. She did a marvelous job. Never got up but did a good job trying.

Grandma Dalley trying to drown Lexi.......oh well not really but Lexi was convinced of it. Later when Grandma finally coaxed her in to the water and got her to let go and just float she pointed out to her that she was floating and lexi said, "I know grandma it is called a life jacket"

Lots of fun.
