Temple Dedication
I have been waiting to write this post until I could get the pictures from our weekend but they are fleoting around somewhere in our new hard drive and I have no idea how to get them.
So I will proceed without them, you can imagine as you wish the scenery of the event, I would prefer that you would imagine me considerably hot, but if this becomes to difficult than do as you wish.
Last Weekend we got the incredible opportunity to be in the Twin Falls temple during the dedication. This is also where I had a wonderful embarrassing moment that I will share later in a post that I plan on calling "My embarrassing moment post" a highly creative title I might add. But any who back to the Incredible day, we were able to first watch the cornerstone ceremony from a screen in temple. President Monsen is seriously funny, it was a very sacred event but he still made us laugh a lot. After that he went up in to the temple where he proceeded to dedicate the building. It was such a neat experience I do not think that I have ever been able to be so close to a prophet, President Eyreing was there also. I wanted so bad to shake his hand, as I am sure everyone there wanted to also. Unfortunately he was swept out of the temple as soon as it was done. I am so grateful that we got to go.
Later that day Sam was able to go with my mom and dad, to there Stakes session for the dedication. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Moyes for watching our kids so that we could go in with Shauna and Richard, and thank you for taking Sam later, even though she said that it was boring I know that she will someday look back at the experience and be happy that she went.
Oh and I almost forgot, this is mainly for my family as they will get the biggest laugh. Mom just happened to be up as we were getting ready to go to the temple, I walked out of the bathroom after getting dressed thinking that all was good until I caught the look in moms eye,
mom-You are wearing that?
me-yea, why?
mom-well where are your nice dresses?
me-this is my nice dress
A look of horror crossed her eyes
mom-why don't we find necklace that will go with it
me-well OK
the next thing I know she is throwing different skirts at me belts necklaces, and yes my mother is my size and definitely better with fashion than me. I have to giver her credit though she stayed with browns and blacks knowing this is my comfort zone. She even pretended that she just wanted to show me her new makeup but then ruthlessly attacked me with different makeup brushes. I wanted to take a picture to show Andrea and Amanda because I knew that they would get a kick out of it but I forgot. So once again imagine, but this time I was oh so HOT. Thanks mom:)

i am glad you got to go to the dedication. i went to the open house three times while i was up visiting my sister and her family.
it is a beautiful temple.
i love your story about your mom and your dress. i think my whole family most of my life have wondered why i dress the way i dress... especially my clothes for church. i am finally catching the spirit of being a little more 'girly'.
but i still stick with my browns A LOT.
I love the story! Hopefully you weren't wearing flip flops too.....:)
