String Lake

Another fun place for us to go this year was to string lake. It was a set of lakes below the Tetons that strung together and you could Kayak or canoe on. The first time we went we went with our friends and then after that we begged both of of our parents to come with us the following weeks. It is so beautiful there and peaceful. The water is not that deep so we did not have to worry to much about getting tipped.
We were sad that both times that our parents came with us they did not see any wildlife, every time that we go to the Tetons we see a ton of Moose and elk, our friends have seen a couple of grizzlies.
When my parents came there were 2 fires close by so they did not even get the view of the Tetons because the air was so hazy.
I know I say this in every post but I am so lucky to live here. We are so busy every weekend just exploring and being adventurous. Two weeks ago we went white water rafting with our friends without children, that is because you CAN NOT take children on this section of the river.I love rafting, we have gone on this stretch of the river before, it was scary in July but did you know that as the water recedes it gets even scarier. What were big rapids in July were now the height of a small house, oh alright I exaggerate but pretty close. This last ride on the river was terrifying, oh man but it was so fun. I promised my mom that we would never go that late in the season again but I will not lie I can not wait to go again next year but we will just stick to July.
