Dalley Family

"Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived."

He is done, we are done, it is done!!!

So as of 10 minutes ago Steve finished his last assignment and is officially done with school!!!!!
Before I could congratulate him he was gone, I started looking all around the house for him and then I could hear yelling coming ffrom the backyard and this is what I found...

He was celebrating by waking the neighborhood. The pictures are not very clear but that is what happens when it is 11 and there is not very much light out. I wish that we had pictures from graduation but we decicded not to go to Arizona because it was going to cost to much, I am a little sad because It would be nice to have his picture in a cap and gown but the most important thing is that he now has a diploma. For those that do not know he just finished his MBA.(Masters in Business)
I just want Steve to know how proud I am of him. He worked so hard and never complained. I never had to to push him to do his homework he would get up everyday at 5:30 and either go to work or study and then come home and study till late. I would beg him to take some time out to ride his bike or do something that he enjoyed so that he could get a break every once in awhile but he always insisted that if he had any free time he would rather spend the time with us. We always appreciated it.
I am so excited for these next few months because they will be the first time in 9 years of marriage that one of us has not been in school, I am not working, and Steve is not working a second job. I am so excited to have him come home at night and just be home.
Congratulations Steve and thank you for being the best husband and father that anyone could ever ask for.

WE LOVE YOU

One more week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhh we are almost there! I wish I could say that I am excited but I think this week is going to be a beast. Steve has to write a 40 page paper and have power point presentation done by Saturday. We can not wait for this to be done. I put a lot of post up again and the video of Josh that did not work last week is now working.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Ann and Rob they had a beautiful little girl yesterday. She is named Brooklyn Elizabeth Parkinson. I personally think with a middle name like that she is going to be an amazing person!

I can not seem to get my pictures ever in the order that I want them to go so I will just have to tell you the story behind the pictures and then you can look at them however you want.
The other day I was laying in bed very sick still(my bronchitis went into pneumonia). I could hear the girls downstairs watching a movie and every once in awhile I would hear them Pleading to their brother to stop pulling their hair or to keep the TV on. Basically he was being a terror, luckily enough my girls are very sweet to him so they put up with a lot. I noticed a little while later that they no longer were talking to him and that it seemed relatively quite, i decided to go check on Josh and what I found initially made me really mad because they had dumped all the clothes that I had just folded out of the laundry basket all over the floor, but as I looked past the clothes I noticed that both girls were looking at me with a very worried look and that is when I heard my poor baby yell mom from the cage that they had put him in. They decided to put him in the laundry basket but apparently that would not hold him so then they put the other one on top to keep him contained. When I came downstairs they were both holding a side down as he pressed his little face to the basket trying to find an escape. the other pictures are when I made them take the top basket off and they decided to stuff the other basket with clothes to keep him stuck in it, I told them that was mean so they went and got him a bottle and tried to show me that he was happy.

Enough is enough

My poor baby was attacked again this morning. I should have known better when I asked Sam to sit with him while I got Lexi up. I should have known when I heard Sams soft little giggles and Josh screams of annoyance. I should really stop taking pictures and laughing.

Two more weeks!

Two more weeks until Steve is done, I hardly even think about it.:)
I have been busy these last two weeks so I have a posted a lot.

Fun at the park

I am so behind but it has been busy around here. I have had bronchitis for two weeks now and they finally put me on a steroid so that I can breathe , my neighbor asked me if I was having "roid range" . I asked her to hold on for one minute while I ran down the street and yelled at the car that was driving too fast down the street, slashed his tires spit at his window, then came back and told her that I did not think so. I also fractured my foot, that is two fractures in a year just in case any one is counting. I have made a promise to be better to my body, at least until I get bored again. Below are some pics form the park that we went to a couple of weeks ago with cousin Ashlyn.

Josh practicing his meditating with a little breathing exercise.
"Raise the arms and and a deep breathe in"
He does this to prepare himself before he goes in to pull his sisters hair, it helps him not get distracted so that he may get maximum pull before I get him.

We absolutely do not condone animal torture,
just children torture. I thought this video was really cute not because the kitty is unnecessarily afraid for its life, but because Josh gives it a hug, Ahhhhhh cute right.....
The cat will not leave Josh alone, you would think that after it had tuffs of fur pulled out that it would stay away. No worries we are teaching Josh to be soft with the kitty and the kitty has gotten tougher so it swipes him now which makes Josh think twice about loving it.

Happy Mothers Day!!

Three old ladies were sitting around a table. The first says, "I'm getting so forgetful I was standing at the top of the stairs and I couldn't remember whether I was going down or had just come up."

The second lady says, "You think that's bad? The other day I was sitting on my bed and I couldn't remember whether I was going to sleep or getting up."

The third lady smiles smugly. "Well, I have no memory problems at all, knock wood."

She raps the table. "Who's there?"

Because I feel that in the heavens above
The angels, whispering one to another,
Can find among their burning terms of love,
None so devotional as that of "Mother"...
Edgar Allen Poe

Happy Mothers day to the wonderful mothers in our lives.

Tagged by my sister. It has taken forever for me to do but this morning it is 7:15 and my kids are still asleep. I can not believe it, I have gone and checked all of them to make sure that they are breathing, they are. So I thought this would be a perfect time to fill this out.

Flashback Friday

My favorite thing about living in Texas was the warm lakes that we would go and swim in. One Saturday as we were swimming at a very busy lake Sam informed us that she had to use the bathroom very badly, if there were toilets there they were very scary and disgusting so we just told her that we would take her behind the car to pee or she could go in the water. Do not judge.... She chose the water. Steve and I were on the beach chasing Lexi around and Sam went down in to the water to do her business, all of sudden we hear this little distressed voice yelling from the water, "mom, mom, what do I do there is no toilet paper?"
We just ducked our heads and ignored her. But pretty soon her yells were really loud and people were looking all around to see who the parents were so we had to tuck our tail between our legs and go and get her out of the water.

The next time we went to the lake we made sure that everyone had used the restroom before we went, and I even brought a roll of toilet paper, but it was to late, Sam had already turned into a lake polluting redneck.
Sam was playing in the water having a good time surrounded by a little family that was playing football. Steve's boss pulled up in his boat so we yelled for Sam to come and get on the boat she just looked at us with this cute little smile and said,
"Hold on I am not done peeing,"
The poor little family that was playing around her bailed out of the water as fast as they could. We once again ducked our heads and threw her on the boat.

We learned our lesson as parents, but still laugh very hard when we think of this.
