Week in review.

My goal has been to write in our blog once a week and I have been sorely lacking in this, but all is not lost, a week in review...
Motrin has become our best friend in this house.

Sam-Strep throat
Steve-The most disgusting spider bite. I wish that I would have got a picture of it, After we got home from Mexico he started to say that the top of his foot hurt, progressively the next few days his foot got a little more swollen every day. By Wednesday it was so swollen that he could not put shoes on and the skin was all purple, he finally went in to the Doctor where the poked it with needles gave him a shot and bunch of antibiotics to take for a week. Over the next couple of days he had to drain the puss from the wound, yuck. I am not one to be faint of heart, in fact anything bloody Gorey or gross I find fascinating, but this was gross. I would gag a Little every time he would tell me he was draining the puss. He is almost done with the antibiotic and it is feeling a little better but for the most part it still looks a little gross. I did feel bad for him though because he had a lot of really important meetings that he had to go to in the last weeks and he would have to wear his suit with his flip flops. Business casual, right.

Sam got her ears pierced, after a lot of pleading to her daddy and a little convincing form Uncle Gary and Aunt Wendy Steve finally said it was OK. The poor girl got the gun jammed on her ear and they had to pierce one ear twice. There was a lot of tears and as we walked out Sam whispered, "mom I should have listened to daddy and waited until I was 16".
