TImeout over
I had typed a huge post the other day and it would not let me post it. So I have been punishing blogger and finally decided today that I would relinquish its timeout and post another long boring post. Maybe that is why it would not post, was my post to boring? Did even blogger fall asleep at the drabness and tiresome droning of the post.
I will never know, but I do not promise anything extraordinary with this post.
Christmas was great, I was a horrible mom and I feel that I could have done more to make the season cheery and bright. Everything was packed and what was out Josh destroys, oh that Josh.
Grandma Moyes did something new this year, she put together a 12 day of Christmas(or 10 or 9 , depending on what child you were and if she was mad at you at the time.) The kids had so much fun every night opening little activities, in fact I am pretty sure it was the only time that my poor kids felt that it was Christmas. We had a marvelous dinner at Shauna and Richards after driving for hours in blinding snowstorms and sneaking on to closed freeways because there was no way that I was going to turn back home after being in the car for so long with a screaming child just to have to stop an hour from our destination.
New Years was Fantastic, they had a dance at the Stake Center for all the families. I totally made fun of this thinking who really dances anymore, but we went because they had food and I have never been one to turn down free dinners. It was a lot of fun and everyone knew how to dance, real dancing with steps and not just lurching your body around in spastic movements. The kids got to run around and get wiggles out.
We also got to visit our lovely friends and old neighbors(they are technically younger than us but old as in our old neighborhood) I got to go to Rexburg and crash their visiting time with family to get my Brook fix. It was so fun, next time you guys will have to come sledding with us. Then on Saturday I got to see my other dear friend for only a little time but it was so nice to see the Millers again. We need to have a reunion at the cabin you guys!!
We are doing fantastic, loving it here more and more everyday. Steve still enjoys his work and they seem to like him.
I hope everyone is doing great.
